Hrishikesh, a holy and pious pilgrimage place revered by Hindus lies under the Dehradun district of the state of Uttarakhand. Known as “Adobe of Sages”, the holy place is located on the banks of Ganges, and surrounded by the Shivalik mountain ranges from three sides. Referring to Skanda Purana, the ancient Vedic scriptures of Hindus, Hrishikesh is known as 'Kubjamrak' the place where Lord Vishnu appeared, under the mango tree.
Hrishikesh is the foremost pilgrimage point of the Char Dham taken by pilgrims to Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath to seek holy deliverance. The holy destination also comes in the way while going to Garhwal Himalayas and Hemkund Sahib, the revered Sikh Shrine. Being as splendid and scenic as spiritual the place is an ideal spot for meditating and becoming one to the divine and the holy one.
